Rangers vs Rays

Hi blog buds! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I have really been enjoying my long weekend. It was a much needed break. I have a two page layout to share with you today. I am still trying to figure out how to photograph my pages so sorry for the poor pictures. How to do photograph your scrap pages?

These pictures are from The Rangers vs The Rays baseball game I went to back in August. It was a must see game since the Texas Rangers were playing and they are my boyfriends favorite team. We try to go to all the games that they play in Tampa. It turned out to be a lot of fun. We had just planned on going to the game with my sister Kristyn since she was in town as well as our friend Greg. But when we got to the game we ran into a whole bunch of our friends. Turned into tons of fun. Thanks for stopping by and Enjoy!

Flowers & Buttons

Hay there! Happy Thanksgiving! I have a really fun card to share with you today. I made this card for my buddy Diane's birthday. Hi Di, Happy Birthday! I was really happy with how this card came out. Lately it seems that when I make a card that I really love it's really hard for me to give it away. I like this card so much I think I might have to make another one to keep in my stash.

When I started making this card I was wishing a had some kraft card stock. I have been out forever and I haven't had a chance to order some more. But when I was looking around my studio for items to use I found a piece! I was really excited! Right off the bat I knew this was going to come out awesome.

I used Bazzill Basics - Kraft as the base. Then I pulled out my new American Craft Amplified paper pack. (Another great buy from Tuesday Morning!) I used the purple plaidish paper from the pack and framed it on some basic white cardstock. I used SU! Pop Up Dots on all the layers. I then decided that I needed to added some CTMH Hemp to the purple layer. This proved to be a bit difficult since I had already attached all the layers together but I made it work.

I made the flower embellie using my Sizzix - Flower Layer punch. Once I cut out all the layers I crumpled all the layers up then slightly straightened them out. On each layer I used a different color ink that coordinated with the AC paper to distress the edges. (SU! - Wild Wasabi & Groovy Guava, CTMH - Hydrangea) In the center of the smallest flower I added in four dots using my Signo Gel Pen to make the center of the flower. I attached all the layers together with SU! Mini Glue Dots.

To finish the card off I added three PTI Vintage Buttons in Summer Sunrise & Melon Berry. And the sentiment was made with Making Memories Tiny Alphas.

Thinking of You...

Hi! I've got a quick card for you. I must say I can't take any credit for this card. I made it using the From Me to You card kit from CTMH. I got this kit several months ago and I completely forgot about it. I had to make a sympathy card and I was having a really hard time coming up with an idea. I realized that all of the items in my stash are so bright and cheery. None of them seemed appropriate. I know that this card is cheery but it seemed to work.

In the kit this card is called "Offset Focus."

Below is the supply list according to CTMH to make this card.
1 - 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" Colonial White Card Base
1 - 4" x 3 1/2" Sunflower Textured Cardstock
1 - 3" Garden Green Grosgrain Ribbon (I excluded this)
5 - Garden Green Brads
4 - Pop Up Dots
Colonial White Cardstock for Stamping

The sentiment is the only item used that wasn't from the kit. It came from the K & Company Amy Butler AB Lotus Greetings Stamp Set.

Happy Forever!

Hi! I made this super simple wedding card for my friends Morgan & Gerry. They got married on November 14th and it was such a beautiful wedding. It was so simple and chic. I was so excited when I finished this card. I really loved how it turned out. I almost didn't want to give it away. But I did.

I used Bazzill Basics in Elephant as the base of the card. I am really loving cards that open from the top lately. It seems that they are all that I want to make. I stamped CTMH Playful Florishes in Making Memories Hybrid Ink in Platinum. Once I did this I took some CTMH Hemp and wrapped it vertically around the card.

The stripped paper is from Making Memories 5th Ave line. I got the entire paper pack from Tuesday Mornings for only $2.99! Again this is another place that you really must check out to get some great deals on paper crafting items. I then matted this piece on Bazzill Basics in Beetle Black.

Then to finish the card off I stamped the sentiment from the SU! Cause for Celebration in Versa Mark then I embossed it in CTMH Black Embossing Powder. I know you can't really see what the sentiment says but it says "Happy Forever." I think this is the perfect sentiment for a wedding card. Once I stamped the image I colored it in with CTMH Watercolor Pencils and blended the colors with SU! Blender Pens. I love these little pens. The make things look so finished. I then punch out the image using SU! Square Scallop Punch. I popped up the image using SU! Pop Up Dots. I finished the card off by rounding the bottom corners with the CM Corner Rounder.

Celebrate!

Hay there blog buds! Stopping in with a fun little birthday card that I made for my boss Fran. Hay Fran! I got the inspiration for this card from Kristina Werner. Not one card in particular though. Really it is her style. Her cards always come out so cute but they are always super simple.

This card came together really quickly. The embellies that I used are from this great K & Company Embellishment Flip Pack I got super on sale at Super Walmart. If you haven't stopped by there scrappin' aisle before or lately you definitely should. I always find the greatest deals there.

The rest of this card was made with scraps that I had laying around the studio. The base of this card was made from Bazzill Basics in Elephant. The rest of the paper was just from my scrap stash. So sorry I can't tell you the exact colors or brands.

I used my SU! scallop edge punch on the yellow. Then I framed the white cardstock with some purple scrap. The stickers and rub-ons are all from K & Company stamped floral flip pack. Then I finished the whole thing off with a stitched edge using my Signo White Gel Pen.

Birthday Martinis

Chello blog buddies! I'm back today with another fun birthday card. I made this card for one of my bosses. He loves martinis so I really wanted to use a cute martini embellie that I have been saving in my stash. I also got break out one of my new Cuttlebug embossing plates.

I have been seeing a ton of cards out there with the ruffled ribbon look so I definitely wanted to try that out. This is my attempt at it at least.

I used Bazzill Basic Kraft as the base. The second layer is just your basic white cardstock. The top layer was embossed using the Cuttlebug Number Collage folder in CTMH - Orange. The martini embellie is from Me & My Big Ideas - Las Vegas. I love that the martini sparkles! The ribbon is from Classic Traditions Satin Ribbon in Yellow. The sentiment is from SU! - Just Celebrate. I distressed around the edges of the sentiment in CTMH - Orange with a sponge daubers.

I really like how this card came out. I tried not to make it to girlie so hopefully I succeeded.

As always thanks for stopping by!

Let Them Eat Cupcakes!

Hay blog buddies! I'm back today with another birthday card. I made this card for my friend Alissas daughter Keely's birthday. I feel like that was a tongue twister! Keely turned 6 on the day before Halloween. She had a fun birthday out at the Marina Jack playground.

When I made this card I knew that I wanted to use a fun feltie embellie that I got from our local scarpbooking store K2. K2 is such a great store, it was just taken over by some new owners and I still haven't gotten a chance to stop by and meet them. I need to make that a priority. One day I guess.
Now on to the dets of the card. The base of the card is SU! Purely Pomegranate. (I used some more of the retired SU! cardstock that I have been hoarding...just another reason why I tried to by some more of it on EBay.) The polka dot background image is from the Outlines Rubber Stamp Co. and it was embossed in CTMH clear. The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Girl Friday line. The scallop border and the scallop circle are both punches by SU!. And then as stated earlier the cupcake is a Feltie from Sassafras from their Snack Attack pack. The Happy Birthday sentiment (sorry it didn't show up very well in the picture) is a rub on from American Crafts.
That about wraps it up for today's card. Thanks for stopping by! Let me know what ya think.

Home Made Embellies!

Hay blog buddies! Look at me blogging two days in a row! So proud of myself. Now on to to the card.

I made this card for my good friend Gayle's birthday. I used retired Stampin' Up! products to make this card. They are my absolute FAVORITE in colors! I can't lie it was really hard to break these out of my stash. I have been hording these for so long. I even went onto EBay after I made this card to try and buy some more of the cardstock because I love it so much. I thought I would have plenty when I only order one combo pack of paper and all the stamp pads when they were the current in colors but I don't know what I was thinking.

I even made the fun embellies with my new Sizzix die cut Flower Layers. My friends bought me a Cuttlebug for my birthday a few weeks ago and I love it! Best gift ever girls...thank you! I made several different color layers with the die cut and then crumbled them up. Once I did that I flattened them out a bit then assembled them. The centers of the flowers are pearls that I got from Target's Dollar Spot. I love that place!

The stamped background image is from Outlines Rubber Stamp Co stamped in SU! River Rock. The border is from the CTMH Adorning Corners set stamped in SU! Purely Pomegranate. I was so glad that I finally busted this set out. I bought it so long ago, I don't know why it took my so long to use it. The sentiment is from SU! Short & Sweet stamped in SU! Blue Bayou. The base of the card is SU! River Rock and the flower layers are all SU! Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate & Soft Sky. The ribbon along the bottom is from American Crafts.

Thanks for stopping by and let me what ya think!

*Sorry for all the typos - I came back and fixed them.

Finally Another Post

Again I have been a horrible blogger. Sorry! Really I am. I am trying to get into the swing of blogging on a regular basis but I can't seem to get there. But stick with me, I will get there.

I made this card for my sisters baby shower. Of course it went with the entire theme. Mickey Mouse! The sentiment on the front got a bit smudged when I stamped it but I didn't have time or more yellow cardstock to re-make it. Actually I didn't even have enough yellow cardstock to make this in the first place. I ended up having to put together two separate pieces of yellow cardstock to make the background. I wasn't sure at first how I was going to cover up the seam. But once I decided to use the Mickey silhouette made from my Cricut with the Mickey Font cartridge I knew that would cover it. It seems like this card is made with all the supplies that I used to make all the different elements from the shower. The black base, kraft frame & Mickey silhouette where from the invitations. The yellow background is from the center pieces and the red polka dot ribbon is from the diaper cake. It wrapped all the elements together perfectly!

Thanks for stopping by! Let me know what you think of today's card.
